GOVERNMENT MONOPOLY.
A telegram from Arrowtown last week says :—": — " The Government School was opened on Monday by order of the committee, there were present 2 on Tuesday, and 5 on Wednesday ; the school was closed by order of the Teacher, the committee not bei/ig consulted.
At the Catholic school the attendance was 28 on both days.
