Rules and Regulations.
For the Juvenile Contingents of Branches in the J5T.A.C.8.&. Preamble. — Any Bra-ch may establish a Juvenile Contingent" sxibject to these rules, to be called by the name of the Branch by which it may be organised, and' the officers of a Brancli shall have' charge of the contingent thereof. The Contingents shall consist exclusively of Roman Catholics, andshall be governed by the Annual Meeting ot the Executive Directory Districts and Branches. The objects of the Conting-ents are to raise funds for the payment l of the initiation fees of the members thereof as members of the H.A.C.B S., on arrival at the age of seventeen years, to foster and 1 maintain the principles of the Society, to cherish the memory of the land of their lathers. Objects. — All monies received on account of annual contributions shall be placed to the credit of the Contingents in the Incidental Fund of the Branch to which they belong ; and when any number cf a Contingent be initiated as a member of the Branch to which it belong, the Secretary shall pay the Sick and B^uneral Funds the sum of te° shillings from the Incidental Fund. In case a juvenile be initiated in any other Branch, the branch to whirh his Contingent belongs shall pay the sum of one pound as his initiation fee. Ihe Contingents shall be under the authority and subject to the guidance of the officers of the Branches to which they belong. Euch Contingent shall elect a President, Vice- President, Assistant Secretary, Warden, and Guardian, who shall hold office for six months, and theVitction shall be conducted as in a Branch. Meetings. — Ihere shall be four meetings at least in a year (contingent;, may meet once a month if the Branch think* it necessary), ot winch the officers of the Branch shall attend and assist iv transacting the business. Contributions. — Each member shall pay to the Secretary the sum of 2s 6d on his entering his name m the books, as Ins first year's contribution' and on or before twelve calendar months shall ag un pay a like amount, and so on for each year until his age be seven .-en years, wluii he shall be entitled to join the Biauch, by pajing a »a:u that, when added to his contributions while in the Contingem, will make one pound two shillings and sixpence, and producing a certificate from the Medical Attendant of sound health and constitution. I Candidates. — Any person desirous ot joining the Continent shall be recommended by at least three members of t lie Branch, who shall be lesnonsible for his previous good conduct and fitness to become v I member and he shall be more than seveu and less than seventeen Kcalia. — The regalia to be worn by the Contiugents must be in slrot conformity with the laws of the Society, aud similar to that worn by the oilieers and members of Brunches. Members shall be ' entitled to march iv professions whfre the Branch may attend in Peualry —Any member neglecting to attend the funerals of deceased members on two occasions shall be fined sixpence, and for a third oil*nce he shall be suspended for twelve mouths.
