HOUSING FOR THE AGED

Sir, — Your \ correspondent, C. C. Chaimers, suggests that "Christianity begins at home," which is sound enough. He implies that it ends at home, whic is simply not true. Certainly adequate housing for the aged should be provided immediately; but New Zealand’s share in the Colombo plan should be increased rather than cut. These acts of "charity" are not mutually exclusive but equally possible in a country as prosperous as ours.
