SLEDGES SOUTH
(Pacific Films) [ SHOULDN'T close the account this week without mentioning, a New Zealand. short feature from Pacific Films which records the preliminary training of men and dogs for the New Zealand expedition to the Antarctic. Well photographed in Eastman Colour, with some unusually good aerial shots of the Southern Alps and more angles than I had thought possible in the restricted terrain of the Tasman Glacier, this film is late im coming to the screen, but worth seeing for the record. The need to process in London-and delays due to a strike in Paris-have prevented us seeing it until now.
