UT 2 Ib. soda crystals in a large basin. Buy crystals from chemist. Pour over them a few drops at a time strong cold tea, until the crystals are pale cream. Add 6 or 7 drops of sandalwood oil-it holds the perfume. Add 2 teaspoons oil of verbena or some other essential oil from the chemist. Put in bottles, tie with pretty ribbon. For variety in colour, powdered blue, sprinkled over, makes them biue; or any colour may be obtained by using food colourings in red, blue or yellow and blending them. Add drop by drop. Mix well.
