PIPE BAND CONTEST

THE National Pipe Band Contest will be held in Wanganui on March 1, 2 and 3. Station 2XA will announce results as they come to hand, and the Main National Stations will broadcast them at 12.33, 6.50, and 11.15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The evening results will be repeated next morn ing after the "News" and "Weather" links. A programme that is expected to include the winners and runners-up in the A and B Grade Test Selections, will be broadcast by YA stations, 3YZ and 4YZ at 9.30 p.m. on Monday, March 4. Other stations will also broadcast winning performances by local bands.
