CAN YOUR CHILD SWIM? Add to these 25 the eleven children between the ages of ten and 15 who also drowned. HAVE YOu TAUGHT WATER-WISDOM To YOUR CHILDREN? Thirty-six children under the age of 16-~nearly half the total number- died needlessly between November , 1955, and April, 1956. That' s more than one child-drowning every week of summer YOUR FORESIGHT CAN SAVE YOUR CHILD'S LIFE Encourage your children to love water sports. It'$ good healthy fun. But teach them to temper fun with caution. Fence or cover with mesh any ponds, sumps, tanks, open drains, culvert openings, sheep dips, wells and similar danger points in your immediate vicinity. Never let little children out to play near water un- accompanied: A child can drown in three inches of water. Teach your children to swim as early as possible teach them water wisdom even sooner.
