Same Jive
‘[ HOUGHT developed in a_ small Chinese restaurant (with juke box) on Symonds Street, while eating excellent egg foo yoong: the musical sensitivities of a sensitive Chinese are probably ravaged equally by Gene Autry’s guitar or the cello of Pablo Casals. To him, as a restaurateur, it’s purely a matter of sixpences, and what juke box discs are readily available. Mr. Autry has it there. Whether the small Chinese restaurateur has it on me depends, I suppose, on relative degrees of sensitivity, and on heredity. You can’t measure that in numerals any more than scientific method will answer the question, "How good does egg foo
taste?"
