Programmes in French
A FURTHER series of eleven Paroles | de France programmes begins from | 1YC and 3YC on Tuesday, July 24, and | Friday, July 27. They will be heard on | Tuesdays and Fridays each week, and will begin late in August from 2Y¥C and 4YC. Listeners who understand French | will hear landscape paintifigs in words and music of lesser-known parts of France, appreciations of the works of Jean Cocteau (with readings by Cocteau himself and Jean-Louis Barrault), and of Paul Claudel (see page 19); Paul Jean Toulet, Louis Aragon and Guillaume Apollinaire. These will be interspersed with musical and dramatic programmes cescribing the Arena Theatre of Paris, the operettas of Reynaldo Hahn, and the music of Chabrier,
