THE well-known mezzo-soprano Doreen Harvey (right) and the popular pianist Nancy Harrie have combined their talents in a new series of light musical programmes from 1YA on Friday nights at 8 o'clock. Each programme in "Music in the Air" is devoted to one of the famous song writers of today and yesterday―composers like Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Noel Coward, Richard Rodgers and Sigmund Romberg. And just in case you can't pick the songs, Athol Coats is there to remind you of the titles, and to tell you why and when they were written and something of the men who wrote them.
