There were roughly 6300 forest fires in Canada in 1953 . Of these , 1576 a quarter _ FOREST FIRE were caused by cigarette smokers. In Quebec Province alone , it is estimated that eight out of ten forest fires were started by careless campers or by drivers throwing cigarette butts from cars: FACT We ask you: Please do not let the same thing happen here.
