SPREAD IT AROUND
HE publicity boys are again in the news As they argue that we would have nothing to lose It the English were all given one or two clues That our butter is second to none. Its rich golden hue that some people mistrust Is not yellow fever or jaundice or rust But the sign of a healthier process, and just Because it’s been out in the sun. I hear every ad-man is bending his brain To the question of foiling the Swede and the Dane And reducing their whispering slander campaign To a taint ineffectual stutter. : But still it might pay us to be like a clam And stick to the subject of Canterbury lamb, For we might land ourselves in a bit of a jam
ff we Stop them irom smearing our butter.
