In January, 1954, the Crew-cuts vocal group performed at the Casino Theatre in Toronto for a mere 350 dollars. When they were signed for their second engagement they were guaranteed six thousand dollars as a minimum, The difference was caused by a hit number called "Sh-Boom." This and other popular songs will be heard from 3ZB at 4.30, ~ > + At 4.20 from 2ZA listeners who enjoyed the concerts by the Vienna Boys’ Choir whilst on their recent N.Z. tour may hear recordings by this outstanding choral group.
