Recently listeners have had from Christchurch a report on the work of the expedition which went there during the Christmas holidays, and now they are to have a chance \of hearing from 2YA (at 7.15 p.m. on Thursday, March 10) a repeat broadcast of the programme of
New Zealand bird calls broadcast in a National link last year. The recordings were made by G. R. Williams, of the Wildlife Division, Internal Affairs Department, about a year ago, in Takahe Valley, and in this programme he is interviewed by Trvor Williams, of NZBS Talks Section, about his trip, the feeding and other habits of the takahe, and the way their Cries were recorded. Listeners wil] hear besides the takahe the calls of the kea, the brown creeper, the kiwi and the weka.
