HOSIERY PRICES AGAIN REDUCED

In these days of rising prices, any substantial reduction in the price of a popular commodity is news indeed! Since the makers of Bonds Sy-metra hosiery introduced full fashioned nylons to New Zealand five years ago, they have announced price reductions totalling as much as 40% in some lines. The latest of these reductions, which took effect a few days ago, can be attributed to the growing popular demand for Bonds, together with a programme of plant modernisation and extension which is a tribute to New Zealand industrial enterprise. Bonds exquisite 60 gauge ‘‘New Illusion," for instance, are fully equal to the world’s best nylon sheers, yet they cost New Zealand women today only 11/6 a pair. This compares with a retail price of 19/11 when the first of the 15 denier sheers were introduced a few years ago. : Similarly, "Mirage’’ Bonds Service sheers have been reduced since their introduction from 15/3 to 11/6 a pair. These price reductions have been carried out simultaneously with continuous improvement in quality and workmanship. All Bonds first grade hosiery is guaranteed perfect when purchased. Probably the most enthusiastically received innovation by Bonds during their thirty years of experience in the hosiery field was the introduction several months ago of three separate leg lengths-short, average and long-for each foot size.’ Regardless of the length of the leg in relation to the foot size, wearers of Bonds are assured of a perfect fit. Thanks to Bonds’ contribution to the cost of living problem, every woman in New. Zealand can wear today the stockings made ‘for the loveliest legs in the world’-at a price she can easily afford.
