Stained Hands

Dear Aunt Daisy, Some time ago I obtained a recipe for non-slip polish comprising methylated spirits and shellac, I have used it and found it very effective, although not entirely non-slippery. My problem is how to get the polish off my hands or rubber gloves. I have tried kerosene, meths, and turps, but none of these seems to work. It generally has to wear off my hands, which is. rather embarrassing. Could you please help me through The

You might try glycerine and lemon juice mixed in equal quantities, but probably a Link in our Daisy Chain will have a suggestion for you.
