N Friday, November 12, the NZBS shortwave station Radio New Zealand began to transmit in accordance with the following frequency’ schedules:--1) To Australia: G.M.T., ZL19, 11.83. mes., in the 25-metre band. 0645-close down, ZL18, 9.52 mes., in the 31-metre band. (2) To Pacific Islands: 1700-1930 G.M.T., ZL7, 6.08 mes., in the 49-metre band. 1945-0640 G.M.T., ZL3, 11.78 mes., in the 25-metre. band. 0655-close down, G.M.T., ZL7, 6.08 mes., in the 49-metre band. Transmissions to Australia and the Pacific Islands now begin at 2000 G.M.T. and 1700 G.M.T. respectively, instead of at 1800 G.M.T. Close down on week days is at 1045 G.M.T., on Saturdays at 1120 G.M.T., and on Sundays at 1000 G.M.T.
