Latest advices from America say that Dick Powell has started on another career as one of the chief producers for a major film studio. He has also made a comeback as a singing star on television, and has emerged from the comparative obscurity he has_ been in for the last few years. Dick Powell is the featured artist from 2ZB at 9.30 this evening. * ok * Jan Kiepura has received many honours for his singing. The Kings of Sweden and Belgium decorated him, a President of France conferred on him the ribbon of the Officer of the Legion of Honour. His native Poland not only decorated him but transformed the house of his birth into a national landmark. This famous singer is featured by 3ZB at 6.15 this evening. Perry Como, 42-year-old American vocalist, first hit the popularity high spots in 1945 with his best-selling recording of "Till the End of Time."
