That Helsinki Film

T is now some months since "Student," of Wellington, wrote in search of information .about a film record of the Helsinki Olympic Games. Mr. Paul Wize, of Kumeu, has made inquiries in Finland, without> result, but the trail isn’t quite cold yet. I have just received a note from Mr. R. W. Winks, of Baltimore, Maryland, who writes: "Ar excellent documentary of the (Helsinki) Olympics was made by an American distributor, and released on a local, limited scale in 1953, I do not know the company, but I do know that such a film exists. Leni Riefenstahl had nothing to do with it, but it was not handled by the, group which filmed the 1948 Games, either.’"" With that lead in hand, inquiries are (as the police would say) still proceeding.
