HE 25-year-old Wellington pianist ‘" Gabrielle Whitehorn (above), who has made several broadcasts recently, will give her first performance with the National Orchestra next week. She will play Haydn’s Concerto in D Major with the Orchestra at a studio concert on Tuesday, May 4. Miss Whitehorn, who first took piano lessons at the age of four, is a graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music. The concert will be broadcast by 2YC, beginning at 8.30 p.m. In addition to the concerto, the Orchestra will play the overture to the Mozart opera La Clemenza di Tito, and Schubert’s Symphony No. 5. Warwick Braithwaite will conduct.
