After conducting the Queen’s Hall Orchestra in 1905, he established and directed the New Symphony Orchestra from 1906 to 1903, after which @e founded the Beecham Symphonie rchestra. Early in 1910 he gave a season of Grand Opera in London, followed by two months ot opera-comique in the Spring, and another series of Grand Opera in the fall of the same year. The company cuontinued from 1913 to 1916, after which Sir Thomas Beecham became artistic director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor of namerous orchestras. His autobiography "A Mingled Chime" appeared in 1943; he has also directed many recordings of symphonic works.
