Subscription Bookings

UBSCRIPTION lists for the National Orchestra’s winter concerts open this month for the North Island and next month for the South. As in previous years, season tickets will cost about 25 per cent less than separate bookings for each of the concerts. Those wishing to obtain season tickets should apply in writing as follows:Auckland: Lewis Eady, Ltd., between March 22 and 30. Wellington: D.1.C. Booking Office, between March 19 and 25. Christchurch: D.I.C. Booking Office, between April 28 and May 4. Dunedin: Chas. Begg and Co., between April 28 and May 4. For the first three centres the price range for seats is 67/6, 51/6, 25/6 and 17/6, inclusive of tax and booking fee, and for Dunedin 51/-, 40/-, 27/6 and 12/6. To assist intending subscribers a brochure ‘will be available at booking offices and ‘radio stations in the four centres about a ‘week before the subscription lists open. This ‘will contain information about the programmes and dates of concerts (six in Dunedin, and eight in each of the other three centres), and a box-plan to aid in the choice of seats. Soon after subscriptions close, box plans will open for normal single-concert bookings. For the first concert in each centre these dates are: Auckland, April 1; Wellington, March 29; May 6; and Dunedin, May 10.
