INNOCENTS IN PARIS
(Romulus-20th Century Fox) you probably are familiar with that old comedy routine in which the diner has successive dishes snatched
from under his nose before he has time to taste them. Innocents in Paris is like that — except that the dishes return from time to time and are just as rapidly whisked away again. disappointing -so is Claire Btoom" though there are some subtle touches. here. Ronald Shiner ‘and the Marines — are good for some broad fun, and: James Copeland is at least an interesting newcomer. But Alastair Sim-ah, unless you have seen his Permanent. Under-Secre-tary you won’t be able to hold up your head in polite conversation. For the sake of this one glittering piece of comedy, the film is worth seeing.
