Marriage and Money
EOPLE marry for various reasons; for love, for security, for money. Judith Clayton married for money-her own money. When told that the trustee of her vast estate was embezzling the money, she decided to protect her property and avoid a scandal by marrying and taking over control herself. She chose Alan Hughes, a penniless young man who had been her friend since childhood. But Alan is a playboy, loving the night spots and the bright lights,
and almost loving an attractive playgirl named Angel Fremond. The course of true love and financial calculation does not. run smooth. Listeners to ZB stations will shortly be able to follow the fortunes of Judith and her wayward husband in a new seria] entitled Strange Honeymoon, Produced at the Grace Gibson studios, Sydney, the serial features Margo Lee as Judith, Roger Climpson as Alan Hughes, Georgie Sterling as Angel and Leonard Bullen as Joe Carter, a gambling-house proprietor. It will be broadcast in the Women’s Hour from ZB stations on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, beginning from 2ZB on January 20, 3ZB on February 2, and 4ZR on February 17. It has olready started from 1ZB.
