She | soon retired from concert ‘work, however, and devoted herself to study. | Until recent years her | appearances were com- — paratively rare, as her — parents discouraged her | from following a concert | career. The reputation ° she now enjoys is per- = haps the more remark- | able for having been established in the company of her brother. She has. been his accompan- = ist on many of his con- ; cert tours as well as in a number of recordings. This year Hephzibah has» performed. with the Victorian Symphony Orchestra unders Juan Castro, and has been heard from Australian stations as an ABC "Sunday Night Celebrity." During her New Zealand tour, listeners will hear her jwith the
Griller Quartet, from all: YC stations, at 8.0 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 12; from 1YC at 9.0 p.ntr. on Monday, August 3; and from 3YC at 9.0 p.m. on Thursday,, August 6. Her concerto performances | with’ the National Orchestra will be heard in the evening programme from all YC stations on August 8 and 15..A studio recital on Tuesday, August 4, will be heard from all YC stations at 8.0 p.m.
