0 a. ee Oe ee ae ee eee. Milton Berle and Eddie Cantor have been more or less friendly rivals for some years and their latest field is in television. So far the first named holds the lead but Eddie Cantor is not far hehind in the popularity poll. These twe, with their differing styles, may be heard from 2ZB at 4.15 today. Allan Jones is recognised as a most successful singer of light ballads. His rise to fame was similar to that of many well-known artists. He studied in New York and Paris for a_ short time, then, when M.G.M. were auditioning for the part of tenor actor for the film "Firefly," he was the successful choice. He has appeared in a number of films, and has made many popular recordings. Some of these will be played from 3ZB at 4.45 this afternoon. * * % At 6.15 this evening, Station 2ZA presents a further broadcast of "Wild Life," the series of talks about the world of nature, prepared by Crosbie Morrison.
CRICKET A ball-by-ball commentary on play in the. Third Test, Australia v. England at Old Trafford, will be broadcast by the four ZB ‘stations tonight, starting at 10.30 p.m. and_ continuing until 5.30 a.m. :
