Ametican tenor Charles Kullman made his operatic début in 1930 after completing a three-year musical scholarship in France. His operatic career has included performances with the Berlin and Vienna State Opera and also at the Salzburg Festivals. Many of his recordings are available and some of these are to be heard from 1ZB at 5.45 p.m. in "Evening Star." x By % The Melachrino Strings have now hecome a well-established broadcasting and recording unit and their latest releases show that’ the. orchestral arrangements made by their conductor bear comparison with any of the mtich publiciséd American counterparts.
