BARBARA BASHAM (above), who introduced the 4YA Topics for Business Women while she was in charge of women's programmes at that station, launches a similar Saturday morning programme at 2YA at 10.30 a.m. this Saturday (June 6). For the first two weeks listeners will hear talks by Arnold Wall on Wine in the Kitchen, and by Patricia Rae on Jobs of My Life. Miss Basham told The Listener there will be quite a bit about cooking in this session. There will be a new series by Cook Anonymous, whose earlier talks will be remembered, and Miss Basham hopes also to have talks on cooking for one or two people in small flats or rooms with few facilities―and perhaps something on interior decoration, too.
