The recent fires near Lake Te Ariau menaced the whole of that famous scenic area One fire K[ [ dangerously threatened the Notornis country and could have wiped out the last survivors of that rare species. So that if our forests are to remain for our use and pleasure, vigilance and scrupulousness can never be relaxed_ Prevent Forest Fires KEEP NEW ZEALAND CREEN NEW ZEALAND FOREST SERVICE SOIL CONSERVATION COUNCIL.
