Victorians in Love
VICTORIAN LOVE STORY, reconstructed by the novelist Humphrey" Pakington from family papers in his possession, and first broadcast by the BBC, is to be heard during the next few months from National stations of the NZBS, starting from 2YC at 10.4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. In this talk Humphrey Pakington tells the love story of his grandmother, Augusta Murray. Her diary, from which Commander Pakington frequently quotes, is typically Victorian. Augusta wrote in her diary up to the birth of her first son, and it is when the story is taken up by her husband that the full tragedy that befell them is revealed,
