SPORTS BROADCASTS
HE sporting highlight for a good many people next week will be the final Test between West Indies and Australia, which will start at Sydney on Friday, January 25. Throughout this match the YA and YZ stations will broadcast commentaries and summaries at 2.30 p.m., 6.0 (delayed broadcast) and 7.15 p.m., and the scoreboard after the 9.0 p.m. news. The ZB stations and 2ZA will broadcast the scoreboard os soon as possible after each adjournment, and at the close of play, The Idle Along yachting events which will be sailed at Wellington from Monday, January’ 21, will be covered with commentaries from 2YA and results from YA and YZ stations at 6.40 p.m, each day. The Bowling Championships will end early in the week (if they have not ended earlier), with on-the-spot commentaries on the finals; and the Dominion Croquet championships (results on YA-YZ link at 7.0 p.m.) will continue throughout the week. Broadcasting arrangements will be as usual for mid-week and Saturday racing, Plunket Shield cricket (et Auckland on Januory 25), and final games in the New Zealand Rugby League tour (January 21) and the Springboks’ tour (Januory 27). On January 24 Stations 1YA, 2YA, 3YA and 3YZ will broadcast at 9.30 p.m. a thirty minute edited commentary on the Rugby League match, N.Z. versus a British Empire side at London. aeeneetieeenteenetinanatiatinaantinentinetinendientinenntinenienimentintenl
