Sir,-May I express an * opifiot on the article The Face of Viole an opinion which I believe is sharéd by many more? It is that the pevacepeyicery ith violence is a facet of immaturity ;both in the individual and He culture of a nation, , a Though Britain is a»lang way from what could’ be called ‘ ideal, she is. considerably in advance of what she was in the 18th Cent when violence apparently -was so much more a part of everyday life, I believe that her, comparative improvement. in that direction today indicatés her gfowing maturity, just as the love of violence of a young boy becomes sublimated as he attains wisdom and maturity in age -sometimes.
