Pianist, composer, lawyer, actor, author, Hoagy Carmichael has tried them all, with equal success, He illustrates yet another aspect of his many talents today at 5.45 p.m. when he will be heard from 1ZB in recorded songs. * The fascinating Afro-Cuban dance we know as the rumba made its debut in the ballroom during the twenties. Today millions of feet dance daily to its infectious rhythm from the continental cabaret to the sun-baked earth of the African safari. 2ZB will feature "The Rhythm of the Rumba" at 6.45 this evening. " a & A children’s book on the violin is quoted as stating "The violin is a wooden box, with four strings played by scraping the strings with horsehair. Horse-hair and catgut make music." This is decidedly misleading to the children, when one considers that, played by a master, there is hardly an . instrument more perfect than the violin. "‘Voice of the Violin" may be heard from 4ZB at 1.45.
