SS Dancé band leader Charlie Spivak is featured tonight from 2ZB at 10.15, in "Time Out To Dance." Charlie, who the publicity agents have dubbed as "The man who plays the sweetest trumpet in the world," studied under George Hyer, of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. New Zealanders will remember him best through his appearances in the films "Pin-Up Girl" and "Follow the Girls." * + * American vocalist Kenny Baker started his singing career as first tenor with a Los Angeles radio quartet.
