T is probably necessary, now that psychoanalysis has reached the cinema, to issue periodical manuals in this branch of modern psychology. Dr. Jones treats the subject in a straight-forward way, and is anxious to open a middle course between the extremes of fanaticism and blind repudiation, His book is a useful introduction to more serious writing; but Geraldine Coster, who attempted a similar task some years ago, may still be a better guide for the uninitiated.
