Tea-Stained Blankets
Dear Aunt Daisy, I wonder if you could tell me how to get tea stains out of blankets? They have not been washed since the tea was spilt on them, about 2 months ago.

If you had soaked the tea-stains with very hot, almost boiling, water directly they were made they would have come out easily; and the hot water would not have hurt the blankets because it would just have been poured through the stain, and you would dry the place in a soft towel afterwards, For older and dried stains, soak them for at least 12 hours in a little dish of glycerine, to which you have added about one-third as much lukewarm water. This will loosen the stains, which can now be washed out in soft lukewarm suds made with soapflakes, afterwards rinsing well,
