JUNIOR REVIEW
* New ZB Children’s Session |\V INDJAMMER, the ZB children’s hour session telling of . tall ships and the men who sailed them, has now ended, and it is being replaced by a new programme called Junior Review, which will be heard at 5.30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. ‘Compére of the new session is Denis Hurley, but in the main the speakers will be children, Groups of boys and girls gather in the studio to discuss the things that interest them most-hobbies, adventure, sport, music, famous people, literature, unusual events or strange occupations, and so forth -and these informal discussions are recorded. From time to time Junior Review will present guest speakers, who will talk of experiences in their own particular fields or speak with authority on some new subject likely to interest the children, Though it bears superficial resemblance to the forum-type of session, the new programme is intended rather as a sort of clearing-house for interesting and worthwhile information. According to the compére, it iv designed to benefit young people between the ages of about ' seven and 14, but it is expected that (as so frequently happens with children’s sessions) a considerably wider listening audience will be attracted. \ Junior Review has already started at 1ZB (the first broadcast was on February 7), and it will begin at 2ZB on"Wednesday, February 16; at 3ZB on Monday, February 28; and at 4ZB on Wednesday, March 9.
