The Wedding Veil
Dear Aunt Daisy, Would you let me know the best way to keep a satin wedding frock and veil? "Eketahuna." The satin frock should not bé a prob-lem-hang it on a padded hanger and cover it completely with a white cloth of some kind to keep it clean. Look at it sometimes to make sure that no moths are attacking it. Some cakes of camphor in little bags could be put in the armholes and hung on the hook, to discourage moths. The veil needs more care-it should not be folded, but covered with white tissue paper and rolled so that the veiling does not touch itself. If very large, it may have to be folded over once, but fill out the fold with plenty of tissue-paper, so that the fold will not be pressed. After a year or 80, shake out the veil and re-roll it the opposite way. A little fullers’ earth sprinkled ,over it will help keep it white.
