BAROMETER
) FAIR TO FINE:"The Paradine Case." OVERCAST: "B.F.’s Daughter."
the fact that the unfortunate Mr. Paradine was a hero to his valet, there were no bizzare quitks to the story and no inextricable convolutions in the plot. The film began briskly at the beginning and continued without benefit of, flashback to the end. And (best of all) though it was the story of a sinister beauty, and an even more sinister murder by poison, there was not the slightest hint of schizophrenia, paranoia, or neuroses. For that relief much thanks.
