A MAN AND A DOG
Sir,-The other evening 1 listened in to "The Man with a Brown Dog." For 18 minutes I was continuously informed that the dog looked up, or down, was eager, sad, lonely, lively; ran or trotted ahead,. behind, around, backwards, forwards, upstairs, downstairs. At intervals I learned that the man looked, down, up, backwards, forwards and sideways. He chained the dog up. It escaped. Was found, chained up, escaped, found, etc., etc., ad nauseam. During these 18 minutes the man put the dog and two saveloys in a box; the box on a train; and the train steamed away. Then the dog faded away, and so did the man, And that was the end. Now, I ask you, Sir.
