THE HOUSE OF CHRISTMAS
HO walks towards the house of Christmas Out of the secret thorn Shall lose his limp beneath the star And match with song the morn. E whose lonely candle dies Shall find no moment merry. But he shall light his life again In the house where burns the berry. WwHe walks with hate like a stone at ‘heart Must bury his load in night. Else how shall he sit at joy’s right hand Being a guest of fight? E whose stunted house is cold With sighs from floor to rafter Shall find a house both tall and free Where he may loose his laughter. HE oes in bravery of bells On foot that fears no trap Who takes the early sun and wears A love upon his cap.
