FAMOUS LIGhTHouSES No. 3 NORTH UNST Perched on the top of precipitous crags at the far North of Scotland this is the northernmost lighthouse in the British Isles . It was built at the instigation of the Admiralty to safeguard British warships and other vessels in the lonely, stormy seas between Scotland and the Orkney and Shetland Islands.
