CAME away from this feeling as if I had been to the funeral of somebody I once admired greatly-the funeral of Norma Shearer. Maybe
M-G-M haven’t really killed her off, any more than I suppose they killed off Greta Garbo with Two Faced Woman-but anything more likely to be lethal to a fine actress’s reputation than this silly, talk-sodden re-make of a "smart" stage comedy of 16 years ago could hardly be imagined. I am only io htly comforted to notice that in Wellington the obsequies lasted the bare week.
