DESTROY? Keep all food and waste in rat-proof containers: Remove all rubbish from the yard: Fill rat bur- rows with concrete which incorporates broken glass: Scatter powdered glass along the rat run- way: Keep changing your methods: Try Epsom Salts (dry) in containers where rats can get at them: Use dogs and cats, or traps, or poison (e.g. barium carbonate) Fumigation may be necessary where burrowing is extensive: Poison is free from your local authority ; they will advise you further.
