Plain Lemon Juice for Bath Stain
Dear Aunt Daisy, I made a discovery this week so thought I’d pass it on to the Daisy Chain. My bath has had a yellow stain on it since the earthquake in 1931, although I thought I’d tried everything to shift it. But now I thought of lemon juice. I squeezed the juice from about five lemons, and wiped all over the stained part with it, then I left it on while I washed my dishes. On going back to the bath, I found nice white marks all through the stain, so I laid on another coating and left it. At about quarter-hour intervals I wiped it over, and by lunch-time the bath was spotlessly white. I feel so pleased I want to tell everyone about it-but perhaps it is a well known remedy which I have
just discovered.-
