"THE National Barn Dance" is the title of the programme to be broadcast from Station 2ZA, Palmerston North, this Sunday (September 19), at 7.0 p.m. This programme was first broadcast from Bloomington, Illinois, for patriotic purposes, the price of the admission tickets being 100Ib. of scrap metal or 50lb. of rubber. The scrap material collected in this way totalled 605,000lb. of metal, and 53,000Ib. of rubber, and the proceeds from the sale of the scrap, 3600 dollars were given to the local patriotic fund.
