E are told that gold rushes to the head even more rapidly than blood, and once he gets a gleam in his eye, the victim will go on rushing until all the gold is grubbed up and deposited in pocket, swag or bank; or, as the case may often be, until he returns home richer in nothing but experience. The adventures of a young American doctor who sets out to try his luck in the Alaskan goldfields is the theme of the new 1ZB serial, Klondike (Mondays to Thursday, 8.45 p.m.). The story. is based on the career of Soapy Smith, of Klondike fame.
