Mint and Apple Jelly
Dear Aunt Daisy, Here is my recipe for Mint and Apple Jelly. Take two pounds of windfall apples or any tert ones. Quarter them without peeling. Almost cover them. with water and boil for ten minutes, then add 4 tablespoons of chopped green mint. Boil for twenty minutes. Strain; to each cup of juice, allow half a cup of sugar. Boil till it will set when tested on a cold saucer. -*"Birdy" (Palmerston North). A good idea, Birdy. Many thanks, A very nice jelly with cold mutton,
