OBITUARY

Adolph Mann, the _ English Pianist and composer who was visiting New Zealand as an examiner for Trinity College of Music, died suddenly on March 31 at Auckland. Mr. Mann’s home was in London, but he had been away for about a year conducting examinations in Australia and expected to remain in New Zealand until the end of the year. He fave recitals from the main National stations both on this visit and on a previous visit at the end of 1939, From 1YA on March 13 he played his " Australian Rhapsody." He had acted as accompanist for the ’cellist, Suggia.
