CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRISTCHURCH

Sir,-I had the pleasure of tuning-in to Christchurch on November 15, and happened to strike a soprano singer, Dilys Parry. In looking through your paper, I notice it was her first broadcast recital. I wish to congratulate both the singer and Christchurch. The voice came through clear and sweet. Let us have more singers like that, and it would be a treat to listen-in. Every word was clear and distinct. What about the other centres, can they find local talent, and cut

out some of the imported material?-

B.

GWILLIAM
